Western Sydney Local Health District hosted events to mark International Nurses Day 2017 on May 12.

All staff were invited to join and celebrate the role of nurses and midwives at our hospitals and community health centres.

Westmead Hospital held a BBQ while ceremonies were held at Westmead, Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals to recognise outstanding nurses.

A special thanks to Treat Box Cakes in North Rocks, who provided a delicious cake for Westmead Hospital’s ceremony.

Thank you to our nurses and midwives across the district, who continue to deliver the best care to our patients, carers and families.

Happy International Nurses Day!
