Westmead staff enjoy a snag for Dry July

Staff from Westmead Hospital’s surgery, trauma and cancer care teams enjoy a sausage sizzle.

Staff from across Westmead Hospital enjoyed a sausage sizzle at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre (CPMCC) on June 30, in aid of its Dry July campaign.

The event was one of many organised by the CPMCC to raise much-needed funds for Dry July.

The centre has already raised more than $11,000 for the campaign and has encouraged 62 patients/staff to give up alcohol for the month!

The CPMCC has been active in Dry July for several years, raising money to improve the environment for patients receiving treatment.

In 2016, money was put towards new gowns and will also be spent on music tablets.

This year, the CPMCC is hoping to raise money to increase gown supplies and invest in some trousers for male patients.
