Past and present staff from the Palliative and Supportive Care Unit at Mount Druitt Hospital raided costume shops or created their own best 1920’s costumes to celebrate the service’s 20th Anniversary.
Mount Druitt Palliative and Supportive Care nurse unit manager Trish Dalgleish organised the 20’s bash and was delighted with the turn-out of old and current staff.
“Working in this environment takes a special kind of person with loads of empathy and a sympathetic ear,” Mrs Dalgleish said.
“Over the years we have had many staff who lend themselves to these qualities.
“It’s a real privilege to work with such a compassionate bunch and I look forward to what the future brings”.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Palliative Care services at Mount Druitt Hospital.
