New hoarding marks WECC construction work

Have you seen the new hoarding that has been erected on level two at Westmead Hospital?

The hoarding has been placed around the construction zone of the new-look Westmead Education & Conference Centre (WECC), which is set to open later this year.

The WECC upgrade and expansion is part of the University of Sydney’s investment in Westmead.

The new space will be a high-quality, contemporary teaching and learning space, which aims to support the hospital’s diverse range of students, researchers and clinicians.

The space will be open to all WSLHD staff and students and will include rooms for small events and discussions, along with areas with “bring your own device” capabilities.

The University of Sydney has committed to invest more than $60 million to support education, training and research across the precinct.
