Demolition is done – and the green is gone

The Westmead Education and Conference Centre (WECC) expansion and upgrade project is well underway with major demolition work completed.

Thanks to everyone for their patience during some of the noisiest work so far.

The room looks very different with the old green carpet gone.

The redevelopment team will provide an update of the progress on the WECC each fortnight as the new zones begin to take shape.

The new level 1 WECC area will be completed in semester 2, 2017.

The WECC expansion and upgrade project is part of the University of Sydney’s $60 million investment at Westmead and represents one of the major refurbishments undertaken at Westmead in partnership between The University of Sydney and the Westmead Redevelopment.
