Westmead Redev hosts Bike Plan pop-up

An important part of the Westmead Redevelopment is to help make Westmead a better place to live, work and access.

In May, the Westmead Redevelopment team received a lot of feedback on the draft Parramatta Bike Plan at pop-up events at Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Some of the main points were:

• Improving traffic flows and connecting with other councils to ensure smooth and safe crossovers on main roads
• Improving linkages from suburbs to the precinct
• Wider pathways and clear signage

Westmead Redevelopment project planning work is now underway for end-of-trip facilities in the new central acute services building.

This will include secure bike storage, lockers, showers and bathroom amenities.
