ematernity maternity information system (MIS) – WSLHD goes live

eMaternity will go live across Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) on 6 June 2017.
This is version 2 of ObstetriX, which has been in use since 2004 (prior to 2004 OBSTET).
eMaternity, as the Maternity Information System for WSLHD, is part of a statewide maternity database system that provides data collection and reporting for inpatient documentation, outpatient electronic medical records, research and mandated state reporting to the Ministry of Health.
All staff providing maternity care will be given access and training in eMaternity.
All final clinical reports will be published into Cerner, offering visibility for other clinicians who do not have direct access to eMaternity and may be caring for a pregnant woman receiving care at WSLHD.
