A sell-out talk – and Zumba – gets people on their feet

Feeling stronger and more positive can be as simple as striking a ‘Superman pose’ – and positivity expert Sue Langley proved the point by getting 300 WSLHD employees to do just that on the first day of the inaugural Wellbeing Festival.

Speaking to a packed Westmead Hospital auditorium, Sue urged the crowd to be curious, understand the importance of positive emotions and practice gratitude as a way of building resilience.

Lindt chocolate balls were handed out to the crowd for a session on ‘savouring’, which encouraged people to use all five senses to build appreciation.

Sue’s talk was a highlight of the first day of the Wellbeing Festival.

Good crowds also turned out for Zumba (check out the pics below!), wellbeing checks and wellbeing stalls.

Events continue this week. Check out the full program here and download a thankyou card to tell a workmate they’re great!
