Special lady celebrates centenary
Staff from Auburn Hospital presented Granville patient Gwendoline Hogan with a colourful bouquet of flowers to celebrate her 100 birthday – which fell on the same day as the Queen’s!
Auburn Hospital after-hours manager Elizabeth Bide said the nursing and general services staff wanted to help Mrs Hogan feel special on her birthday.
“Thanks to Barbara and Luu for going above and beyond with their thoughtful acts of kindness,” she said.
“Mrs Hogan’s son kept the surprises flowing, sharing a cake with the staff; he also told us his mother’s ancestors arrived on the First Fleet.”
