WSLHD mental health team celebrates top-notch reviews

Staff from WSLHD’s mental health service enjoyed a BBQ on June 16 to celebrate the success of the mental health/drug health periodic review.

The BBQ was hosted by Mental Health executive director A/Prof Beth Kotze and the mental health service executive team.

In June, the mental health service underwent a periodic review with the ACHS, where services were reviewed against three standards.

The LHD’s focus on putting consumers at the centre of all operations was applauded by the surveyors.

“They saw the passion and dedication to quality of patient care that units clinicians, corporate services staff, consumers, manager and leaders,” A/Prof Kotze said.

“They encouraged us to persist in working cohesively towards the vision for the mental health service.

“This was an opportunity to thank the staff for their hard work in accreditation and commitment to health.”
