New parking app helps hospital patients

NSW Health has launched a new website and smartphone app – the first of its kind in Australia – to provide information on parking across the state’s hospitals.

The website – www.parking.health.nsw.gov.au – and app provides information for patients and visitors on fees and concessions, eligibility criteria, maps, public transport options and other health-related subsidies.

It includes information about parking at our hospitals – Westmead, Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Auburn & Cumberland.

The website and app are available in English and eight other languages.

Minister for Health Brad Hazzard announced the new online tools over the weekend, coinciding with changes to concessional parking for patients and visitors.

The application process for parking concessions is different for each WSLHD hospital.
