Random acts of kindness mark DoSomething Day

The WSLHD community and consumer partnerships team and consumer representatives have spread random acts of kindness at Westmead Hospital as part of NewsLocal’s “DoSomething Day”.

The group mingle with hospital visitors, looking for opportunities to listen and to make people smile.

DoSomething Day is a national day to promote positive social and environmental change. The initiative aims to promote volunteering, highlight charity work and inspire random acts of kindness.

WSLHD has a large group of hard working consumer representatives, who are recruited to work with staff to make positive improvements in health care.

The group had a wonderful time talking with patients, families and staff. The feedback was positive, many recommended that it be a recurring event.
