Marg farewells Blacktown after 27 years

Pharmacy director Margaret Macarthur has called it a day and hung up her uniform after working at Blacktown Hospital for a massive 27 years.
The hospital farewelled the pharmacist with a special event featuring senior management, pharmacy staff, doctors and allied health professionals.
Margaret was the director of pharmacy at Blacktown Hospital for 15 years.
She also worked at Nepean Hospital, NSW Health’s Pharmaceutical Services Branch and in the United Kingdom.
Blacktown Hospital’s medical director Dr Michael Datyner said Margaret’s dedication was immense.
“I have always been impressed by Margaret’s focus on patient care and safety, together with her recognition of well-managed pharmacy services.
“She has always been very professional in her approach to those who work with her and this has resulted in enduring excellent working relationships between clinical and pharmacy staff,” he said.
Margaret will enjoy her well-deserved retirement spending time with her family, especially her 2 grandchildren, and travelling.
All the best Marg and thanks for everything!
