Hospitals celebrate NAIDOC Month

NAIDOC celebrations were held at Westmead and Auburn hospitals last week.
Westmead Hospital’s aboriginal liaison officer Narelle Holden said it was the second time NAIDOC celebrations had been held at Auburn, and was delighted with the attendance of staff and community at both facilities.
“I was very pleased with the celebrations at both hospitals and thank everyone who was involved especially Aunties Marie Wilson and Jennie Smith,” Narelle said
“The performance by the Wutugindatin group was fantastic and I look forward to bigger and better next year.”

The NAIDOC Month theme this year was ‘Our Languages Matter’.
