Work progresses on MRI facility

Expansion is continuing at Mount Druitt Hospital with work progressing well on the new MRI facility.

This week, contractors Fugen handed over the MRI department for commissioning – the support, change and patient preparation areas which support the magnetic resonance imaging equipment.

The magnet itself is still undergoing installation and calibration, with the service due to open later in 2017.
