Votes stream in for 2017 Quality Awards

More than 3000 votes have been cast for the prestigious NewsLocal People’s Choice Quality Award – in just over 24 hours!

Interest in this year’s WSLHD Quality Awards is intense, thanks to a record number of nominees from across WSLHD services and facilities.

Seventy nine nominations were received for the 15 awards, and these have now been whittled down to 21 finalists.

The strong early voting suggests a record number of votes could be reached.

The first Quality Awards showcase was held at Mount Druitt Hospital on Monday. Showcases will continue this week at:

  • Cumberland Hospital on Wednesday, August 9, 10am-1,30pm;
  • Auburn Hospital, on Thursday, August 10, 10am-1.30pm and
  • Westmead Hospital, on Friday, August 11, 10am-2pm.

Voting for the NewsLocal People’s Choice award closes on Wednesday, August 16.

The winners of the 2017 WSLHD Quality Awards will be named at an invitation-only event at ANZ Stadium on September 7.
