Westmead’s 03Hub open for business

Rashmi Gandhi and Gamini Weerakkody test out the new O3Hub at Westmead.

Westmead Hospital’s first new ways of working (NWOW) space – O3Hub – opened for business on August 10, with staff settling into the new space.

The O3Hub, which is located on level 3 of the Oral Health building, joins Blacktown’s B2Hub as the first work spaces in the LHD to be designed with activity-based working principles or NWOW.

The O3Hub is the new base for WSLHD’s finance, clinical governance and procurement teams.

Feedback on the hub has been positive, with staff already enjoying the space:

“It’s been fantastic so far – we’ve been able to set up and start working straight away” – Nirmal Raj Susai, finance.

“It’s very open and fresh; I think once we get settled it will be a great place to come to work every day” – Cathy Meyer, finance.

“It’s a much nicer environment to work in because it’s very open and bright. I like that there are different sections, so if you really need to concentrate on something you can go in the high-focus area. I also like the standing desks” – Joanne Han, clinical analytics and performance
