Western Sydney is experiencing a record level of flu this winter.
Staff, visitors and patients are reminded to be alert for flu-like symptoms.
- If you are suffering from the flu, stay home from work for at least three days (if being treated with Tamiflu) or seven days if untreated
- Visitors should also refrain from visiting the hospital if they have flu symptoms
- All people should practice good hand hygiene and cough etiquette
Staff, visitors and patients are encouraged to receive the flu vaccination if they are currently well.
Remember: once administered, the vaccination takes two weeks to be effective.
