Look out, NSW LHDs – Western Sydney Local Health District is rocketing up the leaderboard for this year’s Steptember event … and preparing to put the pedal down to help people with cerebral palsy.

WSLHD’s 68  teams have now moved into fifth position on the LHD fundraising table – up four places from a week ago. They have raised almost $4000, and have the three teams at the top of the LHD leader board – Northern Sydney, South East Sydney and Mid North Coast – in their sights.

Local health districts have raised more than $41,600 for Steptember 2017, pushing NSW Health to a total more than double their closest competition on the corporate table.

“This is seriously beyond our wildest dreams – thank you all,” said Steptember business development manager Lisa Strudwick.

“What a difference a week has made.

“NSW Health is still smashing all our other corporates with its amazing team sign-ups and fundraising.”

WSLHD employees who have signed up for Steptember have have committed to taking 10,000 steps a day throughout September.

It’s not too late to sign up a team for Steptember (and smash the competition!).

Organise a team, then visit the Steptember website to register.

Remember to register under organisation NSW Health – Western Sydney Local Health District, and use the free code: WSLHD2017 so you won’t have to pay the $25 registration fee.
