Wistaria in full bloom at festival

The Wistaria Festival will be a hive of activity this week with perfect spring weather scheduled and the colourful bouquet of flowers and greenery of the spectacular gardens.
The event kicked off for the first weekend of the event last weekend with hundreds of people enjoying the activities and family fun on offer.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
Some of the attractions include the Dragolicious (drag queens), Arpita Khristi an Indian cultural dance group, Harley Davidson motorbike rides, face painting and a variety of stalls.
Cumberland Hospital’s Wistaria Festival committee chair Margaret Bannister said the festival was well renowned for its appetising and fresh hamburgers, kebab sticks, Hokkien noodles and Devonshire teas.
City of Parramatta Art Society will hold their free art exhibition in the PARC Building on the hospital grounds throughout the duration of the festival.
The festival is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4pm with all proceeds raised to help rehabilitate mental health patient and enhance their stay.
