Four medical interns from Westmead Hospital have been selected to perform at the Ministry of Health’s night-of-night’s NSW Innovations Awards Night on 26 October at Sydney showground.

The “Westmead quartet” (as they are unofficially known) recently performed at the WSLHD Quality Award gala evening and stunned the audience with their superb classical performances.

Westmead medical student and violinist Vickie Lee said the awesome foursome was “delighted” to be asked to also play at the NSW Health Awards.

“We hope all the doctors and health professionals enjoy our music,” Vickie said.

“It’s an amazing opportunity to be able to continue drawing on our musical backgrounds while studying medicine.”

The quartet were nominated to perform by the Clinical Governance team and we are proud that out multi-talented staff will be presenting western Sydney at this prestigious ceremony.
