Happy Perioperative Nurses Week!

We love our perioperative nurses!

This week was Perioperative Nurses Week (October 4 – 14), which aims to celebrate the hard work of perioperative nurses and the unique role they play in our hospitals.

Perioperative nurses look after patients who are having an operation. They care for patients before, during and after surgery and work in areas like anaesthetics and the recovery room.

Westmead Hospital’s perioperative nurses marked the week with lunch each day, sponsored by different medical supply companies.
