Next Friday’s Coleman Grieg Challenge is set to be a huge event, with 50 participants alone registered to the My Westmead team.
The My Westmead team (the community fundraising arm for Westmead Hospital) will join 40 corporate sponsors and nearly 400 participants in the October 20 fitness event in Parramatta Park.
Funds raised from the chellenge will be split between three beneficiaries, including women’s and newborn health at Westmead Hospital.
In 2016, money raised from the challenge funded two panda resuscitaires, worth $50,000, for the women’s and newborn health department.
The machines assist babies with breathing, temperature control and other vital bodily functions in the crucial hours after delivery.
My Westmead is hoping to purchase some more items off the hospital’s wish list after this year’s challenge.
Money will also be distributed to St Gabriel’s School and the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.
We look forward to seeing all participants next week!
