Occupational Therapists unite at Blacktown

To celebrate Occupational Therapy Week (October 22 – 28), therapists from western Sydney gathered at Blacktown Hospital to educate the public and staff on the important role they play in treating and caring for our patients.
Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals occupational therapist Lauren Nugent was delighted that more than 50 people attended the info session.

“It was fantastic to be able to network with our colleagues and discuss the latest techniques, modern equipment and professional development,” she said.
“I’d like to thank Astris Lifecare, Active Mobility, Independent Living Specialists, Aidacare, who joined us on the day to show us the latest modern equipment, and to our speakers Jenny, Chris, Matthew and Hannah, as well as Blacktown Hospital staff Lisa Brimble, Sue Chong, Alexandra Goodwin, Kirralee Gale and Julianne Gibbons who organised the day.”
