Mount Druitt Hospital has boosted levels of customer service to visitors by introducing a courtesy information desk managed by hospital volunteers.
Voluntary services coordinator Janice Low said the volunteers assist community members to navigate through the hospital to arrive at their destinations.
“Throughout September the dedicated team assisted 806 visitors, patients and staff,” Janice said.
“Time is precious for many people and the volunteers help people get to where they need to be as quick and easy as possible.”
“The hospital has four volunteers managing the courtesy desk. Sadly long-time volunteer Pauline will be leaving us at Christmas – she will be dearly missed by all,” Janice said.
