Major equipment boost from Auburn Hospital vollies

Auburn Hospital auxiliary volunteers have donated a whopping $50,000 worth of medical equipment to the facility.
Auburn Hospital nursing and midwifery director Kate Murphy thanked the fundraising auxiliary for the countless hours members spent running stalls and bingo days to raise the cash.
“The volunteers constructed a “wish-list” which they hoped would assist most departments or wards,” Kate said.
“The equipment went to places including the emergency department, day surgery, medical wards, maternity and newborn care, surgical ward and physiotherapy.
“I’d really like to thank the auxiliary for its hard work, dedication and diligence in raising funds to help improve Auburn Hospital.
“The managers of each ward and department have also expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation for the ongoing dedication and support to the hospital from the community.”
The hospital has purchased more than 40 pieces of medical equipment which will be distributed across most wards and departments.
