Nursing unit manager Darryl Peterson speaks with patient Norma Ab
Blacktown Hospital nursing unit manager Darryl Peterson speaks to patient Norma Abbott.

Arriving on a hospital ward as a patient is often an unfamiliar experience – everything looks foreign, you don’t know the staff or the facility and you’re not sure about the machines around you.

Our staff want to welcome patients to the ward and ensure they have the information they need.

We want understand what is important to our patients and carers.

What information do you need and what would make you feel welcome if you were a patient in one of our hospitals?

If you have five minutes and would like to tell us, we are listening!

Please complete our ward orientation survey here and give us your feedback.

We will use the survey results to improve the welcome and the information we give to our patients and carers.
