Westmead Redevelopment project scores building nod

The Westmead Redevelopment has been recognised at the Master Builders NSW awards for its early and enabling works project.

A W Edwards, the builders behind the project, collected the Excellence in Environmental Management award at the ceremony on November 4.

The early and enabling works project was part of the overall Westmead Redevelopment – the state’s biggest health infrastructure program.

The project included building new car parks and providing future infrastructure for service upgrades including in-ground provisions for power, data, water and medical gas.

The works also involved the installation of a new oxygen compound, in-ground diesel tank and cooling towers.

A W Edwards was also recognised for its asbestos management across the site.
