Westmead Hospital’s Christmas angel Julie Clarke is amazed by the number of gifts donated by hospital staff.

Western Sydney Local Health District has some very generous, thoughtful and kind staff.

This year’s Smith Family Christmas Toy & Book Appeal led by finance business support officer Julie Clarke has collected a massive 1,885 gifts.

Christmas angel Julie Clarke is delighted with the number, quality and range of toys, books and gifts she received.

The gifts will be donated to underprivileged kids, making their Christmas a little brighter.

“Our staff have been very creative and healthy with their donations this year,” Julie said.

“To break it down, we received 1613 toys and 272 books.  All of which completely filled an office space.

“I’d like to thank everyone for their support.  Without your generosity this would not be possible.“

Special thanks to Big W,  K-Mart and John Date from Books & Gifts Direct.

“I also collected $1200 cash which was used to purchase gifts from stores,” said Julie.

“I’m a keen shopper so after bargaining with the stores, I managed to receive $2,000 worth of toys! It pays to work in finance.

“Merry Christmas everyone. We’re going to put a smile on lots of children’s faces. Life doesn’t get any better than that.”
