Construction begins on Westmead Hospital Library

It’s exciting times in the Westmead Education and Conference Centre as Cadwell Constructions officially starts work on the new Westmead Hospital Library.
The library is being upgraded by the University of Sydney in partnership with Western Sydney Local Health District as part of the Westmead Redevelopment.
Cadwell have spent their first few weeks on-site undertaking necessary investigations and site set-up, including making changes to services and dismantling and removing remaining furniture and shelving.
While the library is temporarily closed for refurbishment, library staff can be found in tutorial room F, in the clinical sciences corridor on level two of Westmead Hospital.
A roaming librarian service is also available, where a librarian will come to you! Roaming librarians can come to an in-service, arrange a training session tailored to your health specialty, provide assistance with Endnote consult and support your research with literature reviews and more.
You can book a librarian by calling 8890 6266 or emailing WSLHD-WestmeadLibrary@health.nsw.gov.au

The library refurbishment is expected to be completed at the end of May 2018. The fresh new space will be an engaging learning and teaching environment, offering technology-enabled individual and group study spaces, purpose-built rooms for student and medical staff examinations and bookable meeting rooms.
