Learn about your mouth this Oral Health Day

Tomorrow is World Oral Health Day and Western Sydney Local Health District is helping to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.
Westmead Hospital dental officer Dr Michelle McNab said oral health is a very important part of people’s general health and wellbeing.
“An unhealthy mouth can increase your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and pneumonia. Keeping your mouth healthy is crucial to keeping it functioning correctly and for maintaining general health,” Dr McNab said.
To mark World Oral Health Day, the Westmead Centre for Oral Health is encouraging everyone to complete a quiz to go into a draw to win an oral health pack.
