Do you know a nurse or midwife who deserves a top state award?

Entries are now open for the annual NSW Health Excellence in Nursing and Midwifery Awards 2018.

These awards recognise nurses and midwives for their excellence in practice and for the significant contribution that they make to their professions, their teams and the community through their practice, leadership and research endeavours.

WSLHD acting executive director of nursing and midwifery Kate Hackett encourages staff and community members to show their appreciation and support by nominating a nurse, midwife, leader or manager who you feel deserves to be recognised for their service and dedication to their profession.

The Consumer Appreciation Award is open to nominations from members of the public who wish to acknowledge and recognise the nurses and midwives who have demonstrated outstanding patient care.

Nominations close on Friday 22 June 2018.

Finalists will be notified of their selection by 27 July 2018.

Winners and Finalists will be announced on 14 September 2018.
