Nursing jobs available in western Sydney – apply today

Nurse
Mandy Le enjoys her nursing duties in western Sydney.

If you are a nurse or midwife looking to launch your career or expand your skills, do not miss your opportunity to join the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Nurse Bank.

Applications are now open and permanent employment (full or part-time) opportunities are available for registered nurses and midwives, critical care registered nurses and enrolled nurses.

As part of the Nurse Bank, a nurse manager allocates nurses or midwives across WSLHD facilities to backfill temporary vacancies such as maternity relief.

This model differs from a casual pool model.

Positions are available at Westmead, Blacktown, Mount Druitt and Auburn hospitals.

Successful applicants will work in a variety of clinical settings for three, six or 12 month placements.

Acting Nurse Bank manager Scott Browning said the positions provide a strong launch pad for a career in nursing.

“This is an enriching and exciting opportunity which will provide you with an opportunity to create a strong foundation for the rest of your nursing career, or provide you with an opportunity to further expand your clinical skills and knowledge,” Scott said.
