Swapping navy blue for flannelette

Westmead Centre for Oral Health staff swap uniforms for “flannies” for farmers.

Staff at Westmead Hospital’s Centre for Oral Health got behind the “Five for a farmer” campaign to raise much-needed money for drought-stricken families.

Westmead’s Oral restorative sciences dental assistant and event organiser Sarah McHarg was delighted that most staff swapped their dental uniforms for flannelette shirts, jeans and boots.

“Our team has been moved by the recent stories of the drought and been touched by the hardships being endured by the families,” Ms Mcharg said.

“We wanted to do something to help.

“I am really grateful to everyone who swapped their uniform for flannies and raised funds for this valuable cause.”

A total of $1,020 was raised for our farmers – go Oral Health!
