Vale: beloved volunteer Pat Moir

Mount Druitt Hospital’s volunteer Pat Moir.

We are saddened to hear that fellow volunteer, Mount Druitt Hospital support and friend Pat Moir passed away from illness recently.

Pat started at Mount Druitt Hospital in January 2003 volunteering in the patient transport service and the Kiosk.

She provided so much more to the volunteers who she supported and work with over the years.

Pat ensured invoices were paid on time, ordered the stock for the Kiosk, supported the purchase of many items for the wards and coordinated the smooth running of the volunteer transport service.

Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals voluntary services manager Janice Low said Pat supported the volunteer programs at Mount Druitt Hospital and achieved so much through her 18 yeas of caring and supporting patients, staff and volunteers.

“She will be dearly missed and remembered for many years. She made a difference for the staff and community at the hospital,” Ms Low said.

“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time”.
