NDIS: Families invited to prepare for the future

Multicultural communities are being urged to get NDIS ready.

Do you have a disability or care for someone who does?

Do you want to find out more about the different disability types and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

If so, do not miss this community education session sponsored by the Settlement Services International (SSI) FutureAbility Project, organised by Parramatta Migrant Resource Centre and presented by trained members of the community.

The session is designed for people with a disability from an Arabic background as well as their family and carers.

The main areas which will be covered are:

  • The four major disability types, their features, impacts and where to go to get help.
  • The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS): who is eligible, how to access the NDIS and what pre-planning, planning, implementation and review means.
