Vale Dennis Shipton

Westmead Hospital carpenter Dennis Shipton has sadly passed away. 

Dennis started working at the hospital in September 1997 and progressed through to becoming the operations supervisor within the maintenance team.

Dennis was an integral and senior member of the maintenance department and will be dearly missed by all.

The Director of Corporate Services, Mathivanan Sakthivel said he worked with Dennis for the past three years.

“Dennis has been a good advocate for the maintenance team in his role defending their interests,” he said. 

“His sudden passing has definitely shocked the people he has worked with and he will be dearly missed.”

His colleagues have described him as passionate staff member who took his job seriously and helped the hospital manage various maintenance issues.

Their heartfelt sympathies go out to his family, friends and the people he worked with at Westmead Hospital.
