Robyn touch typed around 24,000 letters in 30 years

Westmead Hospital renal department secretary Robyn Hunt is farewelled by her colleagues and friends.

Westmead Hospital has bid farewell to a multi-skilled secretarial and administrative staff member who has worked in the department of renal medicine for three decades.

Robyn Hunt joined the department in 1989 bringing many talents including typing skills comparable to a professional pianist.

Westmead Hospital renal department director Professor Jeremy Chapman fondly described Robyn having a kind and friendly nature when dealing with patients and staff.

Robyn cuts her retirement cake with her colleagues.

“Robyn will be missed by the doctors, nurses and other administration staff. She made many friends.”

Robyn said she was sad to leave the department as she enjoyed her time at Westmead Hospital.

“I work for 17 doctors and have been able to understand and interpret all of their written notes over this period,” Mrs Hunt said.

Robyn officially retires on December 21. We wish her all the best for the future!
