Healthy treats and sweets for a good cause

Cancer Council volunteers tempt staff with tasty treats: Jasmine Enright, Tracy Tran, Kim Vo, and Yvette Haines.

Iced cupcakes and orange almond muffins sat alongside pumpkin, gherkins and mandarins for purchase for the annual Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre (CPMCC) at Westmead Hospital today.

The snacks proved impossible to resist and raised $1265.50 for the Cancer Council’s vital work, said CPMCC operations manager Anne Caboche.

“Thank you to all the Cancer Council volunteers and Westmead staff who contributed and helped with baking these treats and providing the fresh produce,” Anne said.

“The Biggest Morning Tea has evolved at Westmead Hospital by including healthy options on offer such as fresh fruit and vegetables.”
