Western Sydney backs the Blues

GO THE BLUES! Westmead physiotherapists Krishni Jayawardana and Johathan Young get into the spirit of State of Origin game one.

Have you felt the chill in the air? Are you experiencing sudden discomfort at the site of the colour maroon?

There’s no mistaking the symptoms: Origin fever is sweeping through Western Sydney Local Health District’s (WSLHD) hospitals.

New South Wales travel to enemy territory for game one at Suncorp Stadium tonight, and footy fans are eager to see the Blues start the series with an upset.

While he may be a keen Dragons fan, there’s absolutely no chance WSLHD chief executive Graeme Loy will be cheering for Ben Hunt tonight.

“Like all self-respecting New South Welshman, I’m blue through and through,” Graeme said.

“I can’t wait for game one tonight, and I want to thank all the hard-working staff who will be missing it in order to care for patients.

“Wherever you’re enjoying the game, remember to take it easy because you don’t want to end up in one of our emergency departments.”
