Let your fingers swipe our winner!

A happy snap from last year’s Quality Award showcases: acting director of nursing and midwifery Rola Tawbe and nurse educator Jannelle Masa.

The opportunity to vote for your favourite Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Quality Award starts now.

A people’s choice award is on offer courtesy of NewsLocal, allowing WSLHD staff and members of the public to cast their vote for their favourite award submission.

The Quality Awards ceremony is WSLHD’s red carpet event of the year.

It celebrates staff and teams who have delivered projects that have improved healthcare delivery in western Sydney.

This year’s event will be held on 27 September 2019 at the Western Sydney University Rydalmere campus.

Starting on Monday, all 38 innovative project submissions will be on display at WSLHD hospitals until 16 August, where people’s choice award votes can be made on iPads.

WSLHD clinical governance acting director Heather Doolan said the standard of this year’s projects are remarkable.

“Submissions include projects such as young people telling us what they expect when we design our new facilities, encouraging our mental health patients to access a wide range of physical activities and innovative care for new mums,” Heather said.

WSLHD clinical governance quality and accreditation co-ordinator Natalie Fester Lloyd, Westmead Hospital acting quality and accreditation manager Sally Henderson and administration support officer Natasha Krishnaswamy.

“We look forward to celebrating these projects at the Quality Awards – our district’s night of nights.”
