Merry Christmas! Free WiFi now at Western Sydney hospitals

Westmead Hospital patient Paul Azzopardi was happy to test drive the improved free WiFi.

An early Christmas present has arrived in the form of improved free wireless internet at Auburn, Blacktown, Mount Druitt and Westmead hospitals.

The service has already proved incredibly popular with a whopping 50,000 unique users over the past month.

On a typical day there are 1000 people connected at any given time.

Patients, family and other visitors don’t need a username or a password to use the internet – simply activate WiFi on your device, choose the Hospital_Guest_WiFi Network, and agree to the acceptable use policy.

The policy covers standard agreements including not using the network for large data transfers or any illegal activities.

A welcome page will display links to useful patient and visitor information, our social media channels for health news updates, and the MyExperience Matters survey for you to leave any feedback.

After that – happy browsing!

Free WiFi is part of our commitment to improve patient experience across Western Sydney Local Health District.
