COVID-19 statistics for NSW, April 30

As at 8pm Wednesday 29 April 2020, an additional two cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed since 8pm 28 April, bringing the total to 3,016.
During that time, 7,387 people were tested, compared to 5,414 in the 24 hours before.

Two cases previously reported in the NSW totals have now been excluded after further testing, reflecting the adjusted overall total of 3,016 confirmed cases.
There have now been 2,284 people who have recovered from COVID-19 in NSW.
There are currently 117 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health. These include 15 people being treated in Intensive Care Units, with 13 of those requiring ventilators.
There has been one new death reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 42 deaths in NSW from confirmed COVID-19 cases.
A 77-year-old male resident of Anglicare Newmarch House has died. This brings the total number of deaths linked to the facility to 12.NSW Health extends its deepest condolences to his family.
There have been no new cases at Newmarch House, keeping the total to 56 cases, including 22 staff and 34 residents, confirmed as positive.
A 4-year-old with COVID-19 who attended Bright Minds Academy Cranebrook child care centre is experiencing mild symptoms and is being cared for at home. There have been no new cases from the Centre in the reporting period.
NSW Health is urging people with symptoms, including mild symptoms, to be tested to ensure as many cases in the community are as identified as quickly as possible.

NSW Health is alerting passengers who were close contacts of cases on flights to monitor for symptoms, and contact their GP, (call ahead before visiting), or call healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19/Flu assessment clinic should they become unwell.
