Have the other important test to stop the spread and save lives

People are being reminded that HIV testing is still important, even during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) HIV and Related Programs Team leader Jeffrey Dabbhadatta says this week is HIV Testing Week (1-7 June) and he wants to see people of all nationalities and cultures be tested.
“I encourage people to have a simple, free dried blood spot test to detect HIV and hepatitis C,” Jeffrey said.
“You can perform this test at home without seeing a doctor or attending a clinic.
“You can order the free test kit by clicking here, take a few drops of blood from your finger, post the test back and get your results by phone, text or email. It’s as easy as that.
“People need to remember that HIV and hepatitis C are treatable health conditions.”
The Western Sydney Sexual Health Centre is located in Parramatta with a second site in Mount Druitt.
These clinics offer a free and confidential service by appointment, and patients attending may be self-referred or clinician-referred.
