Western Sydney youth talk life under ‘big rona’

COVID-19, coronavirus, big rona, round boi – the pandemic has affected everyone this year but young people have their own way of dealing with the disruption.
WSLHD Youth Council members Jessica Lam and Ikneet Kalsy tackle the concerns facing young Aussies this year in the latest episode of our podcast Western Sydney Health Check.
Jessica and Ikneet are both 22-year-old pharmacy interns with a passion for improving health services in Western Sydney. As members of the Youth Council, they represent the voice of young people in health discussions and projects that affect them.
In episode ten they discuss some of the effects the pandemic has had on young people including social isolation, loss of work and study disruption.
They also offer their perspective on whether or not young people are taking ‘big rona’ seriously, share hopeful stories of how young people are helping others right now, and consider whether this tough situation might lead to improvements in the future.
