TIME TO VOTE: Honour Western Sydney’s health heroes by voting for the 2020 Quality Awards People’s Choice Award

Show Western Sydney’s health stars your appreciation by voting for your favourite 2020 Quality Awards project for a People’s Choice Award!

This year’s Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Quality Awards will be hosted by celebrity MCs Rob Shehadie and Samantha Brett on Wednesday 23 September at 7pm, live on WSLHD’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

The annual celebration recognises the staff who has pioneered and delivered a range of innovative health projects that have made a difference to the lives of people in western Sydney.

Voting for the highly-sought-after Quality Awards People’s Choice Award is now open, allowing staff and the community to pick their favourite project to receive an award on the night.

The People’s Choice award will be one of 11 awards to be announced on the night. The award will be selected from all 52 award submissions.

WSLHD chief executive Graeme Loy said the quality of projects submitted for an award were very impressive.

“This year has been an unprecedented and challenging year with the COVID-19 pandemic and despite this, our staff have continued to make progress and improve healthcare in western Sydney,” Graeme said.

“I encourage everyone to take a look at the award submissions and cast their vote to show support for the fantastic innovations being achieved in western Sydney, in the areas of research, clinical safety and pandemic responsiveness.

“Last year the People’s Choice received more than 17,000 votes and we hope to top that this year.”

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced on Wednesday 23 September at 7pm during thelive Quality Awards broadcast to be aired on the WSLHD Youtube and Facebook page.

Voting is open from Wednesday, 2 September, and closes at 5pm, Wednesday, 16 September, 2020.
