Members of the public have the chance to ask any questions of Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) staff and management during an unforgettable time for public health at the 2020 Western Sydney Health Forum on Wednesday 25 November.

An esteemed selection of frontline clinicians and health managers will take questions in person and online as part of a panel discussion chaired by NewsLocal state political reporter Jake McCallum.

WSLHD chief executive Graeme Loy said he was looking forward to updating the public on the successes and future direction of the district.

“This year has not only demonstrated the incredible flexibility and capability of our wonderful staff, but also reminded us of the need to take health seriously and plan for the future,” Graeme said.

“We have a vision for a healthier Western Sydney that we are excited to share with the public in this and other forums. I encourage you to attend virtually and submit your questions in advance.”

The panel of WSLHD representatives will include:

  • Chief executive Graeme Loy
  • Board member Richard Alcock
  • Medical Services director Dr Emma McCahon
  • Public Health director Dr Shopna Bag
  • Mental health nurse Jaclyn Mitchell

Members of the public are invited to submit questions now, in video or written format, by emailing them to WSLHD-Media@health.nsw.gov.au.

The hour-long forum will begin at 7.30pm on Wednesday 25 November and will be broadcast live on the Western Sydney Health Youtube and Facebook pages.
