Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) has opened another pop-up COVID-19 clinic in Smithfield to provide more convenient access to testing.
The latest drive-through clinic will be open 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday at Long Street Park, 63 Long Street, Smithfield.
Testing is free, all ages are welcome, and no booking or GP referral is required. Arabic and Persian interpreters will also be available on site.
Anyone arriving for testing is advised to stay inside their vehicle at all times. Health staff follow strict infection control protocols for the safety of themselves and others.
The latest pop-up clinic will support increased testing in Western Sydney in light of the Northern Beaches cluster.
WSLHD acting chief executive Emma McCahon said the District remains committed to providing safe, easy and convenient access to testing for all who need it over the Christmas and New Year period.
“We are actively monitoring cases across Sydney and are prepared to extend operating hours at our clinics to support more people to get tested if necessary,” Emma said.
“We remain open for business to help ensure everyone can safely enjoy Christmas and New Year celebrations.”
If you have any symptoms, it is important you self-isolate and arrange to get tested. Symptoms of COVID-19 include a sore throat, cough, high temperature or unexplained tiredness.
To help protect yourself against COVID-19, exercise the following precautions:
- Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub
- Maintain 1.5 metres physical distance from others in public
- Wear a face mask in public when physical distancing cannot be guaranteed
