Members of the public are being encouraged to submit questions to Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) staff and management ahead of the 2021 Western Sydney Health Forum on Friday 10 December.
Members of the public are invited to submit questions in writing by emailing them to WSLHD-CorporateComms@health.nsw.gov.au.
The annual public meeting provides an update on the strategic vision and plans for WSLHD, its financial position, and acts as an open forum for the public to raise questions, concerns, and ideas.
Frontline clinicians and health managers from WSLHD will answer submitted questions – as well as those provided live comments on Facebook – as part of the panel discussion chaired by NewsLocal state political reporter Jake McCallum.
WSLHD chief executive Graeme Loy said he was looking forward to speaking to the western Sydney community after another year in which the District went above and beyond in protecting the community.
“This year, our staff stepped up to every challenge they were faced with as western Sydney became the epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak,” Mr Loy said.
“The future of healthcare in western Sydney remains at the heart of our work and the annual public meeting is a fantastic opportunity for the community to engage with our District’s future, plans, and vision.
“I encourage you to attend virtually and submit your questions in advance.”
The panel of WSLHD representatives will include WSLHD chief executive Graeme Loy along with other executive staff and clinicians.
