Community invited to submit questions for the 2023 Western Sydney Health Forum

Local community members are invited to send in their questions for the 2023 Western Sydney Health Forum on Tuesday, 21 November.

With a focus on innovation, sustainability and the future of healthcare, this WSLHD Annual Public Meeting forum presents an opportunity for reflection and discussion on the pressing issues and plans ahead for Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).

WSLHD Chief Executive Graeme Loy encouraged the western Sydney community to submit their questions ahead of the Forum.

“At WSLHD we are passionate about sustainability, research and innovation, and we want the community to get involved in the conversation,” Mr Loy said.

This year, four multidisciplinary clinical leaders have been invited from across the District to discuss sustainability and innovation. This includes two doctors, one nurse and one physiotherapist, providing a diverse range of opinions and expertise to encourage rich conversation:

• Dr Quan Yuan, Staff Specialist Paediatrician Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology, Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals
• Dr Jina Rhou, Diabetes & Endocrinology Staff Specialist, Westmead Hospital
• Chelsea Hall, Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist – Emergency, Physiotherapy Department, Westmead Hospital 
• Aaron de los Santos, Acting Clinical Nurse Consultant, Westmead Hospital

From questions about the future of telemedicine, to the environmental impacts of healthcare and plans to reduce this footprint, the panel and WSLHD executive will cover a variety of pressing topics for the western Sydney community.

Facilitated by CEO of Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, Adam Leto, this session will allow unique insight into the intersection of western Sydney health, community and progress.
